I am a professor of French at the University of Rhode Island where my duties include being the Director of the French branch of our International Engineering Program. Through my work with the International Engineering Program, I have developed expertise in the Languages for Specific Purposes.  Routledge published my book French for Engineering. My new project is La Santé globale, which Dr. Heather McCoy and I co-wrote.  It is forthcoming from Georgetown University Press.  Other research interests beyond Languages for Specific Purposes, include language proficiency development and enhancing student learning during study abroad.
