The presenter will show how he used TalkAbroad, a videoconferencing-style interface that puts language learners in one-on-one contact with native speakers of the language, to enhance two specific courses that he has taught: FREN305: Phonetics; FREN357: Advanced Oral Expression. He will also share a student survey on the TalkAbroad experience, student presentations that incorporated an aspect of TalkAbroad (FREN305), and information on grant funding received to pay for TalkAbroad.
