The COVID-19 pandemic’s cancellation of in-person class reunions and alumni gatherings at our school opened new channels for connecting faculty to alumni and alumni to each other. In our case, weekly French conversation classes on Zoom created a multi-generational esprit de corps and allowed us to see what forces keep a passion for le français alive over the course of a lifetime, forces that we are bringing to bear in our own high school French classrooms.
